It has been a while since I last blogged.  I have been checking the stats and notice a lot of people come back to the site and read the blog posts.  I thank you kindly for that.

However it is no excuse, but in all honesty we are developers and thats what we like to do best!  Find new things to do, fix old things in Alpha and Beta and offer great support.

Social Profilr modules have been developed for the  1.0v and 1.5v of Joomla and have been made available for download!

Demo's can be seen of the result on the wordpres based site:  www.socialprofilr.com (since a wordpress version was created)

The display can vary also from Vertical, Horizontal to a dropdown.

The module displays icons for the social networking profiles linking back to your sites.

A choice of two sizes for the icons 16x16 or 32x32.

Icons have been custom designed therefore unique.

The display options are Horizontal, Vertical or DropDown.

Horizontal displays the name of the social network, DropDown displays on hovering over the 'SocialProfilr' custom icon.

The style of display is unique whereby initially 'grey' display and hover over will display in colour. 

All icons have rel=nofollow, this ensures that your webpage is not leaking essential PR juice.

Scribefire is a cool extension for FireFox that allows you to blog straight from the browser.  Its appealing feature allows me to use it whilst browsing and therefore writing whilst I browse and research.  However previously I only used this for Wordpress since that was one of the platforms supported and not Joomla 1.5. 

However there is an excellent blog post on how ScribeFire can be configured with Joomla 1.5 and up and running.  What I have chosed to do is recreate a video of the process:
